Wayne Rooney Dyes Hair Black

Wayne Rooney has been snapped at the musical Oliver! With his newly dyed black hair, alongside his rather more hirsuitly-headed girlfriend Colleen. Dozens of paparazzi were ready and waiting to snap him, so that the general public could get to see the colour of his new hair.

Why has Rooney dyed his hair?

The Manchester United star has dyed his hair because of a minor issue related to the discolouring of his hair following his well publicised hair transplant back in May 2011. While the transplant is considered a success, his new hair has not grown with even colouring – but this has been simply remedied by dying the hair black.

Is discolouration a big deal?

Not really, it usually only happens on a temporary basis while the hair ‘becomes one’ with the rest of the body. As a quick fix, hair can be dyed – and as we can see from the photos of Wayne Rooney, the results look good.

The Manchester United star looked a little bit scabby, but overall very happy. He’ll never be quite as gorgeous as his girlfriend Colleen, but he appears to be having a stab at it with his new look head.

Rio Ferdinand joked with Rooney on Twitter, suggesting that he might be able to enter into a very lucrative hair wax sponsorship deal – just like Ronaldo did back in the day.

But how safe is having a Wayne Rooney hair transplant these days? Well, while the procedure is expensive, it appears that the only risk is to your wallet. And with the advent of new hair transplant techniques – such as the follicular unit extraction technique, many people are now able to knock of several years and get a full head of hair again.

So where did Wayne Rooney get his hair transplant done? Well, he didn’t opt for one of the less pricey options, he went straight for one of the most expensive. His new hair do is rumoured to have cost more than £32,000 – quite a lot in anyone’s book! But it is true to say that some hair transplants cost much less than this –around £3000 in some cases.

What about going abroad for a Wayne Rooney hair transplant? Well, that is certainly an option if you want to save money. There are quite a few out in Eastern Europe, and they do not cost the earth like some based in the UK. But you have to take into consideration that if you go so far away from the UK you will need to take more time off work – which can of course cost you money, and a degree of hassle.

It’s worth looking at a few hair replacement websites before you make your mind up!
